Lourdas Beach
The summer meeting point of Livathos
Lourdas is an endless sandy beach with dense vegetation in the background and is a mesmerizing landscape. It’s situated near its namesake village of Lourdata or Lourdas, just 16 kilometers southeast of Argostoli. It has wonderful blue waters and fine sand combined with white pebbles. It has been honored with a Blue Flag by EOT (Hellenic Tourist Organisation) for its clean waters and its well-kept shore. In general, it’s a secular beach, with visitors preferring it from the beginning of May to September.
The beach provides only sunbeds because it doesn’t need some kind of canteen, as there are all kinds of shops along the central road that passes over the beach. Due to tourism, the area has several accommodations with numerous services.
