Ai Helis Beach
Charming & popular
Ai Helis beach is one of Kefalonia’s most secular beaches. Its name is a paraphrase of Aghios Ahilios. It is located on the southern part of Kefalonia, close to the village of Svoronata. It has fine, greyish sand and the waters are quite shallow, making it ideal for families and small children. You can swim alongside the rocks on the left side and towards the end is a cave which you can explore.
It is a big, organized beach, with umbrellas and sunbeds. There, you can find a canteen and a beach volleyball net. There is also a small parking space at a short distance from the beach. During the summer, volleyball tournaments and midday beach parties are organized.
Around the beach are quite a few notable private or for letting villas, since the spot is considered one of the best in the area.
