Lassi

The history of Lassi must be looked into about 100 years ago, when people would walk from Argostoli to the area in order to pick flowers for the May Wreath on May Day. Then, the fact that more and more people started swimming in the area, resulted in the gradual organizing of the beaches. Access to them, of course, was difficult and dissuasive. Lassi started being considered as a resort area about 50 years ago, whereas the construction of the first resorts started out arbitrarily, as did that of the first shops, after the inflow of tourism.
