The Church of Aghia Varvara

Leaving Argostoli on the way to Sami is the small bridge of Aghia Varvara. An old bridge, on which a metal army bridge was placed in order to counter-support it and prevent it from collapsing. Underneath it, within the rock, is a unique kind of church, that of Aghia Varvara. It has quite a history and it’s definitely worth climbing down the few steps in order to see something really different!
