Kounopetra Beach

A beach different from the others is that of Kounopetra, as its name derives from a peculiar geological phenomenon. This beach had a big, flat rock which used to constantly move, but after the earthquake of 1953 this movement has almost stopped.

This particular beach is located in Lixouri and has red sand. Close to it are quite a few hotel complexes for tourists and for those who wish to savor its unique beauty every day.
