Karavomilos Beach

Karavomilos beach is situated in the area of Sami, next to its namesake village. It’s a small pebbled beach with shallow water and underground waters which come out of the ground and are mixed with the sea. Right next to the beach is the village lake’s mill, an element which makes the area famous, as it makes the Katavothres phenomenon visible since the lake’s water is pushed into the sea. The waters’ inlet is on the other side of Kefalonia, at Katavothres in Argostoli.
