When your summertime outings take you to Lixouri, don’t forget to visit the remarkable Lepeda beach, two kilometers south of the town. It is an ideal resort center with amazing reddish-orange sand and clear waters. It is about 100 meters in length and quiet, making it ideal for families with children and lone travelers. The scenery is fantastic with peculiar rock formations and is completed by the magnificent view of the bay of Argostoli, the Agioi Theodoroi Lighthouse and the Mount Aenos.
The beach’s characteristic feature is the large rock one sees upon reaching the spot.
The beach is organized as there is a bar, sunbeds and umbrellas for renting. At a short distance there is a picturesque tavern where one can savour fresh fish and traditional, local dishes and there are also quite a few restaurants on the way to Lixouri. You should also know that the road is a dead end, so, you will have to turn back on the road towards Lixouri in order to follow a new route.
