You can find salt on the rocks
Alaties beach is a choice for lovers of the unexplored, as it’s a well hidden beach. It got its name from the large quantity of salt found in the dents of its rocks. It’s situated in Northwest Kefalonia, close to Fiskardo and in order to reach the beach, the visitor must climb down some steps.
A few people even dive into the beautiful deep waters from the rocks that surround the beach. Still, it is advised that divers should be careful at this beach, as diving isn’t recommended due to the sea currents. For the visitors who wish to taste traditional mediteranean cuisine there is a tavern right above the beach.
